WHO WE ARE
-
Swish Mission
The Whole Player
The Swish Mission is to create a supportive environment and opportunities for personal development and competitive basketball play for Vermont youth. Swish believes in high quality programs that are impactful, affordable, convenient, and fun - as well as inclusive of the family and support system of its players.
-
Swish Vision
Be The Change
The Swish Vision is to expose, educate and develop basketball players on all aspects of the game - including individual skills, game acumen, competitive play and teamwork - as well as gaining first-hand experience with coaching, officiating and administration. Swish creates opportunities for youth to develop and implement sportsmanship and leadership skills on and off the court and strives to empower participants through investment and ownership of their playing environment.
-
Swish Culture
A Community Approach
Swish is a community based basketball co-operative. This means every member of the Swish community has a role in contributing to the success of the players and the program. Swish holds a healthy and positive environment for youth to rise to the level of personal mastery and work in partnership with peers and adults through multiple opportunities within Swish offerings. Swish believes diversity is the key to healthy and strong environments of learning and expanding on and off the court. Swish provides a culture where one can never lose when they are learning. Mutual respect and team commitment creates trust and synergy making better team members, not just better players. Swish believes that healthy social environments build friendships, encourage new outlooks, offer a much-needed break from the struggles and stressors of life, and enhance a sense of purpose.
